As part of the framework of preservation of ancient garden monuments the ‚Isle of Friendship‘ had been reconstructed in cooperation with TOPOS Landscape Architects, Berlin. The 6.5 ha island had been re-designed as preservation project for the federal garden show in 2001. The emphasis laid on the use of most of the former plant species and varieties. Changes had been done sensitively in respect of the original design.
